A world champion in Liege bowls this weekend

 

 

 

CORK - Cork is the capital of the bowls this weekend as part of the event "Liège-on-Provence." Alongside the family activities and the general public, some great Chamions discipline will compete in an open alley.
 
From Thursday to Sunday, an air of Provence invade the Avroy park in the heart of Liège, as the site hosts "Liège-on-Provence", which aims to make the city a true capital fiery bowls for four days.
 
Program, many activities available to the general public, such as various bowls competition, an exhibition of firing with great precision, musical entertainment, a craft village in the south, but also the presence of some personalities: Renaud Rutten, Alain Soreil, Didier Boclinville Patrick Alen, Adrien Devyver Stéphane Pauwels and Caroline Fontenoy example.
 
That will delight fans of balls "and this is where our will: allow as many enjoy the pleasures of the alley," says Christopher Jadin, organizer of the event.

However, some big names in the discipline will also be there, especially in the context of open bowls Claudy Weibel which takes place Saturday and Sunday. "Claudy Weibel is a major Belgian petanque players, even if they are affiliated in France," explains Christopher Jadin.
 
But one of the attractions of the weekend is probably one of the best current players in the world, namely the French Dylan Rock. "He's only 21 years old and it is a phenomenon. It is the young prodigy in the world of bowls, "says the organizer.
 
"Despite his young age, he was part of the team that won the world championship in 2012, which is very prestigious. This happened in the elite category. But when he was in the younger categories, it has been world champion and has continued to win tournaments. "If bowls is not necessarily known to the general public, it also has its stars.
 
"We do not always renders account, but these champions are adored among petanque players. It is very impressive to see them play, "still shows Christopher Jadin.
 
His arrival in Liege, as well as other big names yet to be confirmed, will be a great opportunity to see it in action, no doubt. Over 180 doubles from many countries have already registered for the open bowls.
